plot summary: This is a story in a nation where the people of that nation are violent, jaded and corrupt. A police detective named Eros investigates the death of 5 men, who were burnt alive after someone screaming “thief!” at them. Meanwhile a journalist named Janus is divorced by his wife, Sari and fired by his boss, all because he’s suffering from narcolepsy. He’ll fall into a deep sleep every time he experiences a sudden emotional reaction (such as anger, fear, or joy). And after receive a message from one of the burnt victim’s wife, Janus’ life changed. Everyone around him who knows the message die and he’s pursued by powerful men. What is the message? And what is Eros connection to this?
Ini film noir pertama Indonesia dengan tokoh utamanya seorang polisi homosexual dan narcoleptic journalist. Tampak menarik bukan? Awal-awalnya, film ini terlihat begitu sempurna, interesting plot, clever setting and beautiful cinematographic. Setiap frame terlihat begitu cantik dan terlihat seperti hasil fotografi. Yang bikin rada il-fil dari awal tuh cuma special effectnya yang kurang canggih (errr…itu mayat terbakar terlihat begitu patung) dan makhluk putih2 berkolor yang suka tiba-tiba muncul (but this is part of story). Begitu sampe awal cd ke 2 (karena ini vcd) cerita makin menarik dan mulai bikin beberapa orang ngeh (ingat…ramalan tentang ratu adil yang bakal jadi presiden Indo yang beken pas jaman2 awal orde baru hancur?) tapi…. tiba-tiba saja smua kekaguman itu hilang begitu mendadak film berubah menjadi Kill Bill versi Indonesia >.< dan hilanglah semua idealisme film noir pertama Indo……
