so beautiful.....and delicious!

so beautiful.....and delicious!

I have a coffee pudding recipe that I’ve been want to try it.  I got the recipe when I waited for my grandma check up, it looks so delicious so I torn up the page from the magz (haha..well it’s better than steal the magazine right?)

Usually pudding is simple  enough and easy to make. But because it’s a 3 layer pudding, it looks pretty complicated. And finally I got some spare time so I definitely will try the recipe. (although my mom request the crepes, but crepes have to wait for another time mom)

The first layer is simple enough, but the second layer is the caramel layer. So of course I have to make caramel.

From the direction making caramel is pretty easy. Just mixing sugar and water in a low heat.

But Oow….the sugar and water turn into a lump of crispy thing! Waks what did I do wrong???

I really really hate u caramel!!!!

Btw after I google it (thanks GOD for google!!) and look for caramel sauce in epicurious.com, they say that no stirring until the sugar turn brownish. Well, I do stirred my caramel sauce ’till the sugar and water have little bubble all over it….hahaha…

Second attempt still a failure >.< errr…… But then I figure out that I add to much water, it need a ver small amount of water just to make the sugar dissolves then heat up untill it turnd deep brown. So third times is a charm, this time I succees make caramel hohoho….

Anyway a few days ago, I ate nasi jambal! And Ohhhhhhh it’s absolutely delicious. Very spicy though, I literally had vertigo after eat too many dishes. But still…..yum yum. I even eat the leftover for days^^ after adding green tomatoes, oh it’s still so yummy!

It’s  around Halmahera hospital, if you like fish and spicy food, you definitely should try it!

Basically I’m a painter, but I feel that my style is too old fashioned and I’m still struggling to find my own more contemporary style. So I got a painter’s block and haven’t finished anything since this year started. *sigh*

And then I found photography world, and surprise2 this new world is feel almost familiar. Because I’m an architect, who’s always thinking about composition, shape or color and I’m also a painter who’s thinking about angle and more colors. Just need to learn about skill and ta…da.. I fell exactly at home. I’m not claiming I’m a great photographer of course, far from that, just want to say I really enjoy this new world. And still amazed with great things people can do with their camera, to see a photographer works is like seeing people view about the world. Like painting, my teacher once said that everyone have different style on their painting. Although they are copying the same object but the results can be very different.

And my photography concept is (errr…okay this is my architect’s habit I always think about concept when doing anything, even cooking….LOL) to capture the world just like my eyes see it. My world is full of color. I’m a very color-conscious person I see color everywhere and my sub-conscious mind is always trying to match coloring object with their complementary one. So please understand my excitement if I see a red-yellow-green car on parallel parking position. That’s rare even you know^^

Besides color other thing that makes me attracted to photography is its ability to capture people. If I decided to do photography as my main career, I’ll pick photo-journalist. I’ll always admire people who can capture an event in one frame. That’s really a great skill! Fashion photographer is glamorous and exciting but feels fake. I don’t really like a world where’s image is the most important thing. Haha but I’m really in love with my architect’s job to have another path of career. And btw this is a quote from someone about self-portrait, just want to share it because this is a very inspiring words^^

“ Portraying yourself has nothing to do with vanity.
One self-portrait is just the smallest character from an alphabet called: Human Being.
Self- portrait is the language you can create and feedback to yourself when feeling in a particular mood. When you’re thinking and biting thoughts about you, your life, what YOU think about your own life.
Self- portraits are born from insecurity, the need of getting to know yourself, it’s writing your journal on a daily bases, revealing your deepest secrets.
When you do self-portraits you create your own way of understanding; and by doing so you’re completely free from others.”
